Caffeine And Blood Pressure

Why Do Caffeine And Blood Pressure Have Something To Do With Eachother?

There are certain things that you ingest into your system that will make or break your blood pressure regimen and caffeine and blood pressure do not mix. Caffeine is a mild stimulant that is found in coffee, chocolate, tea, and many soft drinks. Studies show that having too much caffeine in any given time can make you have the jitters and can cause nervousness. It can raise your systolic pressure up 3 to 14 millimeters along with your diastolic pressure and this is a lot of risk for a person who already has blood pressure problems.

Caffeine and blood pressure are like dogs and cats. You really don't know if the dog likes cats or not and you take a chance when you get them together of the dog attacking the cat. On the other hand, you could have a cool love affair on your hands between the two animals. The same goes with caffeine and blood pressure. You mix the two and you do not know exactly how the caffeine is going to affect your blood pressure but you would not want to take the chance of the caffeine having an adverse affect on your blood pressure.

There have been many studies on the cardiovascular and ambulatory systems and the affects of caffeine and blood pressure, but it still has not been decided for sure exactly what spikes the values of blood pressure when caffeine is involved. The researchers have several different ideas that are probably all correct but none of them is ready to say what it is and put it in a writing log. Caffeine and blood pressure are one of the main things that doctors have to fight against these days because of so many people who drink coffee in order to give them that boost in the morning, but they give themselves three to 6 cups of boost instead of maybe just one or two cups. The general public drinks a lot of soda and if there is not an issue with their caffeine and blood pressure, then researchers have said that the body had grown a tolerance against the caffeine and stabilized their blood pressure to a normal or a little above range.

The caffeine and blood pressure debate has been a confusing one because there was research done on women that drank coffee on a daily basis and women that drank five to six cups of coffee a day along with women who do not drink coffee at all. In the program the women who drank more coffee will have a lower blood pressure reading than the women that only drink two to three cups a day. This just proves that caffeine and blood pressure can work together or can be each other's worst enemy, just like the wonderful world of our pets, the cats and dogs. There is no basic cure for high blood pressure. There is just info that needs to taken, a diary that needs to be kept, and a software program that needs to be used for tracking.
