Labile Hypertension
What Is Labile Hypertension?When you and your doctor are watching your blood pressure and there may be frequently changing levels of elevated blood pressure, then you might have what is called labile hypertension. Labile is defined in many medical dictionaries as being changing. There is some hypertension that is a constant high blood pressure reading while the hypertension that has constant low blood pressure readings but the labile hypertension goes up and down on a frequent basis. This type of hypertension is caused by blood flowing through the arteries that push up against the inside of the artery walls and the more pressure that is blood exerts on the artery walls, the higher the labile hypertension will be. Then, when the muscles of the artery walls become relaxed or dilated, the pressure of the blood flowing to them is lowered thus making the labile hypertension lower as well. This type of labile hypertension is hard to keep under control because the blood pressure has to be monitored and usually the blood pressure medicine has to constantly be adjusted to the way the labile hypertension is reacting at any given time. The labile hypertension medicine can only do so much for the patient but the patient has to do the rest of the work. If the patient is not helping the doctor's efforts in trying to keep control of their labile hypertension by eating and drinking items that they are not supposed to, then this is the reason for the constant work on adjusting medicine. There is no set formula or variable to go by with any types of high blood pressure but the labile hypertension is controllable if the doctor and the patient are both on the same page and both do their part in order to catch a hold of it and control it. This is a very important thing for the patient to understand is the labile hypertension and the other types of high blood pressure are not something to just play around with because if not taken care of, then it can cause heart disease and several other major types of medical problems that could have been prevented if the patient would have just gone by the directions of their doctor. Labile hypertension in one of the silent deadly killers that you don't realize it is killing you until that one dreadful day that you all of a sudden drop because you did not take care of yourself. |
